Dalhousie Students competed in the Marine Advanced Technology Education (MATE) Center’s annual international ROV competition from 2008-2012. Having been the most inter-disciplinary of the Dalhousie Engineering project teams, the ROV team members were always interestedin projects that integrated a wide variety of technical learning.

Looking for new challenges following the conclusion of the 2012 competition, the team chose to redirect its efforts toward involvement in autonomous robotics competition. This led to the the founding of the Dal Robotics team.
